Jesus said, he would come back for a Holy Church: a church that worships in spirit and in truth!
To be Holy is to be “set apart,” different, as it says in the Greek. It is a separation from this world and it’s values, wants, desires and fullness.
To give yourself to this world is to live in idolatry before your maker, the one true living God, our Lord and savior, Jesus Christ!
To be Holy means to be consistently and progressively transformed into God’s likeness!
Do not train your heart to desire the things of this world, or you will find yourself not ready when Christ returns for His Church.
We worship God in and from our spirit, our worship consists of open communication to the Lord. Protect this communication with all you have within you!
Satan uses many devices of the world to darken this path but he does it slowly, as we give ourselves over little by little to the world. His intention is to blind your spiritual eyes and plug up your ears so you will not enjoy this communication from God!
Why does Satan try so hard to keep us from this communication?
When we are in this place of praise and worship, adoration and singing to our God, Satan has no place in our lives! In this place, you are fellowshipping in the presence of Almighty God and enjoying His glory. Here, in this place, Satan has no influence on your life.
The reason he hates this is because he cannot stand it when Jesus is praised! He works tirelessly to keep praise from going to Jesus! He cannot stand Jesus! Everything Satan does to any Christian is to hurt Jesus! This is his intention because of his hatred for him.
Everything of this world appeals to and builds up the flesh but God said, I HAVE COME THAT THEY MAY HAVE LIFE AND HAVE IT TO THE FULLEST!
When we fall into idolatry, by our love of this world, we give our lives over to Apathy: apathy is a ho, hum attitude about the things of God.
APATHY STEALS OUR PRAISE: Praise intended for Jesus, and gives it to His enemy and ours, the devil!
Jesus told us to deny ourselves daily, pick up our cross and follow him! Luke 9:23.
So I say, walk by the spirit and you will not gratify the desires of the (sinful) flesh! Gal 5:16
If you live according to the flesh, you will die, but if by the spirit, you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live! For those who are led by the spirit of God, are the sons of God! Romans 8:13-14
Let us praise and worship the one true God! Let us find more and more time to lose ourselves in the glory of Almighty God and praise His Holy Name!
